In the Middle
We are in the middle of once again not knowing where God is leading us as far as attending a church. We have been attending the evening service at Berean Baptist for the past 5months and as of late have felt convicted to seek another venue. It is hard because we really enjoy the worship but feel that the messages are lacking...I know there is no perfect place to meet, but I want one where we open our Bibles are riveted by the truths and power of God and where we are truly focused on the Lord in worship that is rockin'...not off-key etc. Is there such a church that has both? If you know of a place, please let us know. :)

Hi Jes, two churches in Apple Valley one is on Johnny Cake -- South Suburban Evangelical Free Church. I don't know what you will think of the music but preaching seems to be good. We have only been there once--my sister in law goes there. The other is River Valley Church also in Apple Valley corner of Pilot Knob and 42. I haven't been to any services there but I hear them in the day practicing there music (I work at the daycare they provide there), I think they sound pretty good. I hope you find a church soon, it is tough being between churches.

Hey Jes, I should have explained that sometimes I read your blog by going through Becky's blog and Holly's blog. Also I sent you an e-mail in regards to the two churches but it may be one you do not use anymore cause it is your maiden name.

Hey Thanks Kimberly! I was surprised to hear from you but I really appreciate it. i actually still check my old email address too, so I will read what you sent. Thanks for the info. on the churches. I will look into those. We have been to River Valley but not for awhile. We need to check it out again. Thank you again.
Hi Jes, I just stumbled on your blog after not being here for awhile. Anyway, your post caught my eye because my hubby & I are in between churches as well, so I can totally relate to where you are at! We've been on the search for over a year now. We've sort of "narrowed it down" to a couple options, but neither one seems quite right, for different reasons. But then we wonder if our expectations are too high! Like you, we are looking for a place where the Word is preached boldly & where we can really connect. It can be a tough journey. I hope you're able to find a church home soon. I'll be looking forward to seeing where you guys end up - maybe it will give us an idea of where to try! :)
