This weekend had you stopped by for a visit, you would have found Darth Vader's twin...well at least a look alike. First on Saturday, I got ambitious and got a closet organizer for the baby room. That meant going through all of our stuff piled and stuffed in that closet first. I have made that closet my "non-pregnant clothes" closet and it has been a catch all for Mike's left over studio equipment that doesn't look "appealing" out in the loft area. Anyway, after a few trips to Target, Menards, and other such stores, I got the closet organizer (which I put together myself) and plastic storage bins. Miraculously, everything extra fits in there and is ready for baby clothes, toys, etc.
Ok, that was Saturday, but back to my Darth Vader outfit which happened on Sunday.
I decided to go ahead and paint the baby room too. I know that it can be dangerous as a pregnant person, so I borrowed from my sister "The Mask." She had used this in the reconstruction of their house while she was pregnant. It is this large, clumsy looking piece that has straps to place all over your head and two filters on either side of the mouth that made that heavy breathing noise just like Vader’s mask. Anyway, I looked pretty foolish I am sure and not just because of that but also for the reason of the rest of my outfit. I didn't want to wear anything nice of course as I was painting...and let's remember I am pregnant..thus a protruding belly so my options for “painting” clothes are limited. I ended up wearing these old shorts that are already small but on me now are ridiculously small with a belly hanging out because my t-shirt couldn't quite reach over it. So here I am in too small clothes and a gas mask doing my thing in the baby room. I just prayed that no one would look in that room (poor neighbors) as I needed to have the blinds open for natural light!
And I a plan on doing it again! :) This Friday I have the day off of work and am planning on working on the white tree mural for one of the walls that I am stealing from a Pottery Barn Kids magazine. It looks cooler than it sounds. I'll put pictures up when it is finished.

I want to see a picture of you in your painting outfit!! Ha ha. J/K!
You'd scream in horror even louder than you did when you saw the picture of "Kim" from 24!
THAT bad?
