My very first entry

Once upon a time there was...
a woman named Jessica who worked a lot and loved a lot. The two didn't always mesh and so in an attempt to combine the two into a workable relationship, she create a blog.

I don't always keep up to date with everyone and what is going on with life outside of my "bubble" so this is it; a chance for me to share and a chance for me to hear from you.

As things are constantly moving, so am I. At least with my job that is. I am no longer in Bloomington, teaching 8th grade English this year but am now in New Prague, teaching in a 7th/8th grade alternative program in the middle school. I enjoy it greatly as the staff, students, and parents are wonderful to work with. The environment here is very "Mayberry-ish." Everyone knows you and is willing to lend a hand in whatever you may need help with.

Aside from my job, my family is doing well. My baby sister, Kristen just celebrated her 19th birthday which means I am closer to 30 than ever before! My parents enjoy trips and additions to their cabin near Eli which they purchased about 2 years ago. The bro's are working, playing music, and keeping it real. Jennifer (now-motorcyclist) and I live together along with two other friends in a new townhome. This is a leap up from where we lived previously. We love the place.

Mike is working like a madman...often even on weekends... making music, wrapping-up a season of softball, and generally being shadowed by me ;) Soon he will occupy much of his time with competitive sports such as "Arctic Thunder" as he tries to take 1st on the newly purchased XBOX. More than likely he will succeed...but not without a good lashing! ;)

Fall is here it seems and so as they say I must make like a tree and you know the rest.......
